Canadian Numbers Not Supported

    • Mubeen
    • Topic created 3 months ago

I tried to do a reverse_phone on an Ontario, Canada number (in the City of Toronto); I get:
"Mismatched Input: areacode does not match country"

    Thanks,

    Mubeen

    Hi Mubeen,

Congratulations on the first bug report!

There are two items here. First, at this time we are not including canadian data during the API beta. Second, you should be getting an error message that is a little less cryptic. I'll file a bug on our internal system to get the messaging sorted out.

    Thanks for using our API!

Is there any plan to support canadian data ?

  3. Dan_WhitePages3 months ago

    Hi Remy,

I've investigated your question and at this time we are not planning on supporting Canadian data. If we have a strong interest in the future we would certainly revisit the question.

    Thanks for your input!

Thank you all for expressing your interest in Canadian data. At this time, we do not have any plans to add Canadian data through the free API. Through WhitePages.com's B2B division, W3 Data, we offer a paid API that includes Canadian data. To learn more, go to: http://www.w3data.com/xml-data-integration.
